I had a few minutes last night to bang some rough sketches out for our $20K STRETCH GOAL vote.

The current top contenders are Monsters (werewolf, chupacabra, jackalope, jersey devil) and Domestic Cats (tabby cat, solid-colored cat, long-haired cat, calico cat - cats is cats, not breeds!)
 
Our monsters are in the lead, but only by 2% - if you want the cats, it might just be a few "hey, look at this"'s away. 

You have just under 24 hours left to vote, if you want to turn the tides!

Right now, I'm cooking some artworks to add stickers to the campaign. Expect those as addons shortly. We're looking at the same prices as CRIMES mugshots - $2 each for 2" stickers. Each funded design will get one.

Depending on how the next few days go I might call it and add the winning pin vote tier at $15k instead. With the amount of attention the poll got, it only seems fair to make them a little bit more obtainable.

With things slowing down in general, I'd also like to give some other PINTOPIA buddies a boost. We tend to get most of our backers in the first 48 hours of each campaign.

It's whiter than my forearm outside, and you're crazy if you think I'm going out there. I'm too short to brush the snow off my truck. So, you get to deal with me all day today!

On a shitty, cold-ass, snowy day, it's only fitting we unlock the cat with a built-in warming blanket. We take it!

Anyways, funny story, the only reason we're there, is...

You know, if you REALLY like a pin later in the campaign, and you can't come up with anything creative... you can always buy a sponsor pledge and grab someone out of the later tiers like a claw machine.

Day 2 check in...

POINTY BIRDS tier was unlocked super late last night. I didn't want to get out of bed to write an update, so, I dropped a post on Bluesky and passed the hell out.

We're not doing too bad! If you've been waiting on a specific set of critters unlocked to back, now's a good time to check in on what's ready - and what, at our current pace, will be ready to buy soon.

25/52 1.5" pin options have been unlocked, so we're a little under halfway there. We're getting some good attention on the $20k goal poll, too, so, keep that up and keep telling me what you'd like if we reach that milestone. Right now, domestic cats and monsters are battling for first place.


I haven't gotten emails from our sponsor tiers yet, so, I'll be sending those out before I go steam myself in the shower. 

It's a balmy 8 degrees over here right now... I know most of the US of A's getting shafted with a cold front right now, and I hope you guys are staying warm.

BlueSky already got this update when it happened. But, after sitting at a hilarious $6,198 long enough for me to laugh at it with my kitchen buddies, we hit our $6.2k stretch goal: CRITTERS TIER!

We're not doing too bad for day two. Actually, as I'm writing, we're about $90 away from the POINTY BIRDS tier.


As promised, I got some artwork for our regular antique gold versions of the Early Bird, Night Owl, and Loyal Akita pins. The rooster's got a Rhode Island-inspired red and brown, the barn owl is now blue. They both look like fake coffee company mascots, which is, honestly, really cute. Our akita pin has a black pinto, which is a more common standard coat than my black overlay dog.

The special versions of these pins are still BackerKit bonus exclusive, but antique gold standard versions will be available as 1.5" options to all backers. 

For clarity, I went ahead and took the special versions off of the unlock sheet. You won't be able to order them.

There is a single sponsor slot that sold, but I haven't heard from the buyer yet - expect to have another pin added to the roster some time this weekend. I wonder what that'll be?

Good morning, gang! Happy Friday. You got me for a few minutes before I go hit the trenches at work.

We're lagging a little behind our previous campaigns' funding times. This isn't gonna be one to brag about in the portfolio, but, we are going slowly and steadily. In this economy, I'll take it.

All base funding pings are available. This means...

I'll have the normal (antique gold) color variants of the bonus pins to show you guys tonight. There'll be an option to purchase non-exclusive versions for all backers. At this time, the special plating pins will remain exclusive to early backers and KEN'S PIN HUSTLE veterans.

Stretch goals thru CLASSIC CANINES 4.9k are also unlocked. This means...

Our next stretch goal is CRITTERS at $6.2k. Got some good ones in here... I wonder if you guys can get that $300 while I'm setting up the kitchen today?


It's been a good first day, especially for high-value pledges.

We had some madlad get the $650 100-pin set. I am aware of this backer, and more than happy to see them - they're a regular, and I know that these pins are going to a very good cause and will be making some people's days. I can't wait to see what they end up picking.
